What is LiveRush?

LiveRush is a program for students that offers low-cost, last-minute tickets to local arts and entertainment events. The program was started by Ottawa's National Arts Centre in 2000 and was adapted by Calgary Arts Development in 2006.

How much does a LiveRush membership cost?

Nothing! That's the beauty of LiveRush.

What kind of discount do I get?

There is no set discount for what our LiveRush partners offer, but discount prices range from $20 and under.

Where do I get my membership card?

You can print off your membership card here on the website, or pick one up at our office located at 3rd floor 205 8th Ave SE.

Am I guaranteed a ticket?

Unfortunately, no. See our list of tips and tricks to find out the best way to get a seat.

Do I have to get my LiveRush card before I can buy LiveRush tickets?
You do, but you can print out your card on our website, hassle free!

When can I purchase tickets?
LiveRush tickets are available one hour prior to showtime, unless otherwise specified.

How do I find out which shows are LiveRush eligible?
You can check out our events list on the website.Also sign up to our news letter, which will inform you of LiveRush events and special deals. If you're already a LiveRush member, you will already be recieving the newsletter.

How do I buy LiveRush tickets online?
LiveRush tickets cannot be purchased online.

Does my guest have to be a student?
Your guest does not have to be a student, but if they are, why not get them to sign up for LiveRush too?

Is it possible to purchase more than 2 LiveRush tickets seated together?
Every LiveRush member is only eligible for two discount tickets. If you want to bring more friends, they will either have to sign up for LiveRush themselves or pay full price.

Do I have to sit in a certain section?
LiveRush tickets are usually sold on a first-come first-serve basis for all empty seats, unless otherwise specified.

I'm a part time/mature student. Am I eligible?
Yes, any student with a valid student ID is eligible.

Do I have to show my student ID every time I buy LiveRush tickets?
Yes, otherwise anyone could sign up for LiveRush, even if they are not a student.

Where can I park?
You can check this map to see the closest parking areas for each partner location.

Can I update my account information?
You bet! All you have to do is click the "My Account" link and edit the fields you want to update.

What if I run into problems at the box office?
On the off chance that the box office of a LiveRush event refuses the LiveRush deal, simply ask for the student discount, and contact us afterward with information about the conflict. The sooner we know that there is a problem, the sooner we can fix it.
